Malek Gnaoui & Markus Hiesleitner will create a “Wunderkammer” (Cabinet of Curiosities). Instead of housing exotic objects, it will house a collection of the most diverse “sound donations” from the residents of Vienna’s 2nd district. The “Wunderkammer” will be in the form of a bike trailer, it will be placed at various strategic points around Praterstern. Passers-by will be invited to take a seat and to immerse themselves in a colourful bouquet of sounds and voices.

“Cabinet of Curiosities” is part of the project “Banal Complexities تعقيدات  عادية”, a series of 4 collaborative art interventions in public space curated and realised by philomena+ between Praterstern and Volkertplatz from March to September 2021.
